Internet Network Marketing Newbie – Your One MLM Lead And The Types Of MLM Lead Generation

Online MLM is just like any other MLM business activities. The nature of a MLM business is to find the right target group of people to expose your MLM business to. The only reason why so many ordinary people have come closer to achieving financial freedom in their MLM businesses is through leveraging the power of the internet. The only way to replicate their success is to master the art of lead generation.

Each time a newbie converts under your downline, besides getting their tools up and running, the main objective is to immediately secure and instill confidence in your new member by purposely assisting in whatever you can to help them generate their first MLM lead or help them build their first 1 MLM lead.

Your new downline members will then appreciate the effort you put in into helping them.
If done consistently, by a period of time, your level of influence over them will increase, and in turn, those new members that you have invested time and efforts into will have a higher chance of duplicating the same system you offer.

Driving traffic is what generates money into your pocket, the same goes for everyone. Therefore it is vital to learn how to build a lead list of other network marketers and business contacts.

However, before teaching your newbies how to drive traffic, we need to ensure they understand the different types of lead generation:

1. Cold Leads

Cold leads are the cheapest and easiest way to generate. However, it is the least potential of conversion rate among all. You can purchase through companies that sell them and huge amount of leads. It seems the newer the leads are the more you are expect to pay. But now matter how fresh the leads are, I felt you should not even try generating from there. I feel it’s a waste of money. The money could be better placed elsewhere.

The only benefit I know to cold leads is that you can order in a vast amount and quickly have hundreds of leads. The negative side to cold leads is that there is absolutely low conversion rate. Therefore, you could potentially spend a great deal of money on brand new leads and yet have little to no success at all.

2. Self Generated Leads

Self generated leads are typically referred to as fresh or responsive leads on the internet. The difference between an self generated lead and a cold lead is that you may get a little more information thus giving you a better opportunity to have success by investing in efforts and time.
The self generated leads or ‘SGL’ in short, could be generated by online or offline marketing techniques.

Some online marketing techniques are commonly refers to setting up of a lead-capture page, squeeze page or otherwise known as an opt-in list.

If an internet marketer wants to could generate leads through offline marketing, it could be done so by handing out business cards at any social gathering meetings.

Because of the efforts one has to put into generating self generated leads or ‘SGL’, the credibility of the leads increases thus resulting in a higher chance of conversion.

3. Familiar Leads

Although familiar leads are known for having the highest potential conversion rate, it also may backfire. And among them, the familiar leads often come at the highest cost when things go unexpectedly wrong.

Familiar leads consist of anyone you know by name. They include relatives, neighbors, friends, or colleagues. If done properly, having a list of familiar leads could accelerate your MLM business faster than you could think of. However, it can also be risky to approach people you know so well and make a sale to them.

We are all familiar with experiences of when things go wrong especially when trying to sell to relatives takes place. The key in capitalizing on the familiar leads successfully is to look at as if you are offering them something that can truly benefit them. However, this takes courage, but then again, every successful marketer always believes in their business, and I shouldn’t see why you should be afraid to offer them such a great business proposition.

By allowing an avenue of chance to letting your new downline members know about the different types of leads, they can strategize and maximize their time and resources wisely and so shorten the process in getting their first conversion of their 1 MLM lead, or at least, shorten the time taken for a newbie to generate their first MLM lead.
